I've photographed elopements on mountaintops in the rain to huge ballroom events with hundreds of people. What they all have in common is this: the best moments happen when nobody's watching for the camera.
That's why I shoot documentary-style. By staying close, staying quiet, and letting your day unfold exactly as it is. No forced poses, no interrupting a real moment to "get the shot."
Just you, the people you love, and everything that actually happened.
Your wedding day isn't a photoshoot, it's a collection of moments you'll never experience quite the same way again.
My approach is calm, intentional, and rooted in capturing joy. While I'll guide you through portraits with a relaxed and natural approach, the majority of your day will be photographed as it happens. The laughter between friends, the way your parents look at you during the ceremony, the quiet moments you share together when no one else is paying attention, those are the moments I am always watching for.
I believe the most meaningful photographs aren't created through constant direction. They're found in the real interactions, emotions, and relationships that make your wedding uniquely yours.
From the first inquiry to the final gallery delivery, my goal is to create an experience that feels effortless and personal. I want you to be fully present with the people you love while trusting that every meaningful moment is being preserved with care.
The result is a wedding that feels effortless and a gallery that feels true to you.
more about me
I’m Bekah, a decade-long wedding photographer based in North Carolina, and my goal is simple: to document your wedding day as it naturally happens.
While I'll step in to guide portraits and keep things moving smoothly, I'm not interested in turning your wedding into a full day photoshoot. The moments I care most about are the ones that happen when you're fully present - the hugs from family, the laughter with friends, the happy tears, and all the little interactions that make your day uniquely yours.
I want your photographs to feel like memories, not performances. Years from now, my hope is that you can look through your gallery and remember not only how everything looked, but exactly how it felt to be there.
If that sounds like the way you want your wedding documented, I'd love to tell you a little more about myself and see if I'd be a great match for your wedding day.
"It is love and friendship, the sanctity and celebration of our relationships, that not only support a good life, but create one."

"We couldn’t be happier with our wedding photographer! From the very beginning, Bekah was professional, organized, and genuinely excited to be part of our day. She made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which is saying a lot because we’re not usually ones to enjoy being photographed.
On the wedding day, she captured every special moment so naturally and beautifully—from the big emotional moments to all the little in-between details we didn’t even realize were happening.
When we received our photos, we were absolutely blown away. Every image tells a story, and looking through them felt like reliving the entire day all over again. We’ve gotten so many compliments from friends and family!
If you’re looking for someone who is talented, reliable, and truly passionate about what they do, we can’t recommend Bekah enough. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!"

"Hands down the best photographer ever. I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to have worked with you and even more thankful that I have met you. My wedding pictures were beyond amazing!!!
Bekah and her assistant were also more than photographers at my wedding. They went out of their way to help me throughout the wedding even helping me with my dress as I walk down the aisle and so much more. Even though I come from a different culture , Bekah and her assistant were accommodating and very inclusive. Thank you so much!"

"We have worked with Bekah a few times and she is the most amazing photographer I have ever met. She is fun, kind, and easy to work with. As someone who is shy and not the most comfortable in front of a camera, she makes you feel lovely and comfortable. She’s great with kids too!! She recently did photos of my engagement and I have been asked by so many about the amazing work she did! Would completely recommend!"

Some of the best wedding days don't go as planned and that's exactly what makes them unforgettable. When Cara and Michael set out to elope on Roan Mountain, they knew rain was coming. They packed clear umbrellas and headlamps anyway, said their vows just the two of them, and danced together in a downpour on the walk back down. It might not be a perfectly polished gallery but it's real.
If you're dreaming of an intimate mountain elopement of your own, this is the story to read first - full of practical tips, a timeline, and the kind of moments that remind you why eloping can be just as meaningful as any big wedding day.
